Staffordshire creamware Liverpool pitcher of Massachusetts interest. On one side reads “The Gratitude of Massachusetts follows Caleb Strong to Northhampton” and reverse reads “Success to our Governor General Brooks”. This is an extremely rare piece of creamware that we have only seen a few of through the years. This identical piece is pictured in David and Linda Arman’s book on Anglo American pottery. Shows some small older repairs that have changed color some and some minor wear. Really though is still quite nice. It measures 6” from the tip of the spout to the handle by 5 1/2” tall and dates circa 1800.
Provenance - Collection of Rex and Patti Stark
