Historical hand painted Landing of Lafayette At Castle Gardens, New York pottery pitcher. Made by Jersey City Pottery circa 1840’s. There is a very small amount of these that are known to have survived. Beautifully executed scene with Eagles and Shields around the top with crossed flags under the spout. Gilt accents as well. This one is in very fine condition with a short professional hairline repair. It measures 8 5/8” tall by 10 1/4” from the tip of the spout to the handle.
