Historical Staffordshire black transfer platter with view of Penitentiary in Allegheny near Pittsburgh by James and Ralph Clews. In excellent condition with no chips, cracks or repairs but does have a small internal crows foot on the back that is only slightly noticeable on the front if looking hard. Nice deep black crisp transfer and otherwise appears virtually unused. It measures 13” by 15 1/2” and dates circa 1835.
