Staffordshire Creamware Liverpool pitcher with transfer of “Death of Captain Cook By the Natives of OWhyhee” and an American Ship on the reverse. Extremely rare transfer that you just don’t ever see. In excellent condition with some light staining and a short hairline that doesn’t go through. Most likely would disappear with a cleaning. It measures 8 7/8” tall by 9 3/4” from the tip of the spout to the handle and dates circa 1800.
Provenance - Rex and Patti Stark Collection
