Staffordshire Creamware Liverpool pitcher with a transfer of John Adams President of the United States and on the reverse a “Washington In Glory America In Tears” transfer underneath in a cartouche “A man without example A Patriot without reproach”. Then a large Eagle and Shield under the spout. The last picture is a tankard that identifies this image of John Adams. Good condition with some minor spout and base chips. Then what I believe could be an in the making imperfection on the lower part of the handle where it meets the body. This pitcher could certainly be cleaned and fixed if needed but we left it the way it is. It measures 9 3/8” tall by 9 1/2” from the tip of the spout to the handle and dates circa 1800.
