Staffordshire Creamware Liverpool Pitcher with Polychrome Ship “Belvedere” with Seal of the United States below. On the reverse “Washington In Glory, America in Tears” with “A man without example. A Patriot without reproach” in a cartouche. Original owners name “George Rosensteel” in a cartouche under the spout. So many transfers in on this one is uncommon and also the rust color transfers. Displays well with some older spout and rim repairs along with some hairlines. Base also shows some staining and lines. Certainly would be really nice freshened up or could be enjoyed the way it is. It measures 9 1/2” tall by 9 1/2” from the tip of the spout to the handle and it dates circa 1800.
